Efficient use of every flat surface, horizontal or otherwise, is crucial to expanding your capabilities and protecting your crew.

Production Chains and Resource Management

A key element of Corsair Cove is managing complex production chains that span great distances and heights. Buildings require raw materials, and finished goods must be transported to distribution hubs. Players utilize systems of bridges, ziplines, and other contraptions to move goods across cliffs and chasms, which can be the difference between survival and failure. The island contains diverse resource deposits such as iron, copper, lumber, and fiber, but as your settlement grows, maintaining efficient travel between buildings becomes challenging.

Equipping Ships and Crews

Building mighty ships is vital for waging war against the Crown’s pirate hunters. Your armada requires more than just food and drink; powerful ships demand advanced equipment and specialist crew. Items such as spyglasses, medicine, sabers, tobacco, pistols, and eye-patches are necessary to meet the needs of various crew members, from bombardiers and navigators to veteran corsairs. Over 50 different types of goods can be manufactured and distributed, ranging from food and clothing to weapons and prosthetics, supporting both your settlement and fleet.

Exploration and Combat at Sea

Players can take to the seas to explore nearby islands, raid for resources unavailable on their home island, and engage enemy fleets. The game features turn-based naval combat where the choice of ship, crew, and captain, combined with tactical decisions, determines the outcome. Defensive fortifications such as gun towers and military fortresses can be built around your island to fend off enemy ships when your fleet is away. Supplying these defenses with cannonballs and black powder is necessary to maintain their effectiveness.
